Nick Castellanos

Bio

School: Archbishop McCarthy High School, Davie, FL
Drafted: Available for 2010 draft
Scouting Report: He has good pop at the plate, and that will only improve as he continues to put on weight and get a feel for how his big body works. He has a very long body with projectable power. Above avg. pop to all fields; stayed on the ball really well; this kid is a good young hitter; power stroke will only get better with reps; Once he fills out this body, watch out! Castellanos ran the 60 in 6.8 seconds, an outstanding time for a guy that is 6'4" and a great sign that he is learning to coordinate those long levers. His actions are quality for a 3B, and they will only improve as he will play SS at his HS this year. Nick plays a very relaxed-style of game, and has an ability to slow the game down.
