School: West Roxbury High School, MA
Drafted: 2nd round of the 2000 draft by the Boston Red Sox
Scouting Report: Delcarmen has a 95 mph fastball and an excellent 12-to-6 curveball.  Fastball can actually reach the high 90s.    Average to below average control, really needs to improve his consistency.  Changeup is about average. Pitches significantly better at home, and fares equally against lefties and righties.  Delcarmen had Tommy John surgery in May 2003, but returned to the mound a year later in May 2004.
