Bio
School: Georgia
Drafted: 5th round pick of the 2010 draft by the Texas Rangers
Scouting Report: Grimm has jumped on the map by maintaining a low-90s fastball for much of his senior season, particularly surprising after he missed his junior year with a broken arm. His other pitches are behind the heater, but have a chance to be Major League average. With his size, frame and fastball, he fits the mold of an interesting projectable high school right-hander with the potential to be a No. 4 starter in the future. - MiLB.com
Grimm's size and power stuff are sure to generate plenty of interest on Draft Day. Georgia's Friday starter has the makings of a plus fastball and curve to go along with an average changeup. Command issues have hurt him at times, leading some to wonder if he'll be a starter long term. Pitching in the competitive SEC certainly doesn't hurt. The team who thinks his command issues are correctable will likely take him fairly early as a college starting pitching prospect with plus stuff. ~mlb.com
