Scouting Report: Boasts one of the fastest pure bats in the history of the game, which combined with his excellent eye and patience allows him to wait on pitches and foul them off until he gets a good one. Can change the outcome of a game with one swing. Has been plagued by nagging injuries throughout his career. Not as good with his glove as he is with his bat. His intensity sometimes boils over into slumps and discontent.
