Bio
School: Martin High School, TX
Drafted: 30th round pick of the 2010 draft by the Texas Rangers
Scouting Report: Ragira is a very broad shouldered, narrow waisted 6-2, 175 lb outfielder from Texas. He has some serious juice in his bat and the ball sounds different on contact than most hitters, even among top hitting prospects. Ragira has nice natural lift in his swing and should continue to add to his raw power as he fills out. He has prototype right field tools with a very strong throwing arm, 6.88 speed and very good instincts to the ball. Ragira would be an excellent pitching prospect if he took up the position full-time, as he throws 88-92 with minimum effort and plenty of projection. He also has one of the most unusual backgrounds of any Aflac All-American; both his parents are natives of Kenya, the same country that President Obama's father hailed from. Ragira has first round potential.
